• 1. Preamble
     

    EUROMAR-ISMAR 2027 aims to provide an international scientific environment of the highest standard, founded on respect, inclusivity, scientific integrity, and shared responsibility.
    This Code of Conduct applies to all participants, speakers, organizers, industrial partners, service providers, and any individual involved in the conference, whether attending in person or remotely.
     

    2. Core Principles
     

    Respect and Integrity
    All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful, professional, and considerate manner in all scientific and social interactions.
    Diversity and Inclusion
    The conference actively promotes diversity in all its forms, including gender, geographical origin, career stage, background, and scientific discipline. We are committed to providing an equitable, welcoming, and accessible environment for everyone.
    Scientific Ethics
    Scientific discussions and exchanges must be conducted with honesty, rigor, and respect for the work and contributions of others, including proper attribution, citation, and respect for intellectual property.
    Environmental Responsibility
    Participants are encouraged to adopt responsible practices consistent with the conference’s commitment to sustainability, including reducing environmental impact, minimizing waste, and supporting low-carbon solutions whenever feasible.
     

    3. Expected Conduct
     

    Participants are expected to:

    • Foster an open, constructive, and respectful atmosphere for discussion and exchange;
    • Encourage participation from all attendees, particularly early-career researchers and members of underrepresented groups;
    • Respect the rules and timing of scientific sessions;
    • Engage in scientific debate courteously and professionally, including in situations of disagreement;
    • Respect both the physical and digital spaces associated with the conference
     

    4. Unacceptable Conduct
     

    The following behaviours will not be tolerated:

    • Any form of harassment, intimidation, discrimination, or exclusion based on gender, nationality, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, religion, career stage, or any other personal characteristic;
    • Aggressive, humiliating, threatening, or degrading behaviour, whether public or private;
    • Deliberate disruption of scientific sessions, meetings, or conference activities;
    • Unauthorized recording, photography, distribution, or use of conference content, data, or materials without appropriate consent;
    • Any breach of scientific integrity, including plagiarism, misrepresentation, or other forms of research misconduct
     

    5. Specific Responsibilities
     

    Scientific Committee and Organizers. The Scientific Committee and Organizing Committee commit to:
    • Ensuring transparent and fair selection processes;
    • Promoting diversity and balance within the scientific programme;
    • Fostering an inclusive and respectful conference environment.
     
    Speakers and Session Chairs. Speakers and moderators are expected to:
    • Encourage respectful and balanced scientific discussions;
    • Promote participation from diverse audiences and viewpoints;
    • Contribute to a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere during sessions.
     
    Sponsors, Exhibitors, and Service Providers. Partners and service providers are expected to:
    • Respect the values and principles of the conference, including inclusion, sustainability, and ethical conduct;
    • Provide services in a respectful and professional manner to all participants

     

    6. Reporting and Handling of Incidents
     

    Any behaviour that violates this Code of Conduct may be reported confidentially to the conference organizers through designated contacts that will be provided on the conference website and on-site.
    All reports will be handled seriously, confidentially, and impartially. Appropriate actions may be taken, ranging from a warning to removal from the conference without refund, depending on the severity of the situation.

     

    7. Data Protection
     

    Personal data collected in connection with the conference will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Particular attention will be paid to confidentiality, security, and responsible data management.

     

    8. Commitment
     

    Participation in EUROMAR-ISMAR 2027 implies acceptance of and adherence to this Code of Conduct.

     

    9. Conclusion
     

    Through this Code of Conduct, EUROMAR-ISMAR 2027 affirms its commitment to providing a scientific event that is rigorous, inclusive, respectful, and responsible, reflecting the values of the international magnetic resonance community.

     

    Privacy Notice
     

    All of the information that we ask of you in the registration form is collected in order for us to facilitate the meeting, logistics, accommodation, payments etc. We will share relevant information with the sponsors, our partnering travel agency and hotel for the same reason. We do not distribute any information to any other third party, and our partners treat your information with the same security.
